Also, BEWARE of buying a havanese anywhere but from a home breeder. This breed can be
a little shy, and if not TOTALLY handled, loved, and touched every single day from birth, can be a real problem to
get socialized. Here, my babies are touched DAILY from birth...this is HUGE....when you do get your new puppy, please make sure you cuddle he or she a lot...this is crucial in the nurturing of your new baby!
The puppies you see on this website, are babies produced here, by me and my wonderful havanese adults and can be proven to be mine, and ONLY mine...some are photos sent from families that purchased from me.. If you see these photos anywhere else, advertised as another breeders dogs, please contact me. There are many unethical breeders that like to steal gorgeous pictures of my puppies to use to sell their own pups......I guess to steal my pictures should be a form of flattery, but I feel it is also a violation of my hard work and my high standards of breeding.......it is very sad that these breeders cannot produce their own quality and have to resort to using my photos....shame on you..........

Please be aware of where your puppy comes from. You as the buyer have the right to see the puppy and the parents. If you are refused a visit, there is a reason, and a red flag should go up. The internet can be a scary place....anyone can make a pretty website, but only honest quality breeders that breed from their homes and not kennels have the most perfectly socialized puppies........

I got Niklas as a puppie in 2002. A beautiful male Silver Sable German Shepherd. He helped me through the the rough times I had as a middle aged widow. What a dog he was. I did everything right with him, so I thought. The Vet gave him his shots, put him on a science diet and prescribed a regiment of Spot Drops to keep the fleas off him. But I was so wrong. Niklas died young at 5 years. I was heartbroken. I became obsessed with finding out what killed him. My Vet avoided me and objected when I asked for a autopsy. He would not do it. He became extremely angry with me when I took Niklas's body to the University. Now I know why. The autopsy confirmed that I had killed my beloved Niklas. I cried for weeks. Now I am on a mission to save other dogs from unknowingly being killed by their masters. A mission that makes every Vet in the country cringe. And rightfully so. I killed Niklas by using Frontline Spot Drops on him. I actually induced thyroid cancer in him with the chemical called Fipronil. And I also exposed myself to the same carcinigen. I murdered my friend and companion of five years. I will never get over that. Perhaps I can help save someone else from the horrible guilt I must live with.

I am sure there are many more I didn't name. This is a multibillion dollar revenue stream for the Chemical Companies and the Vets of America are their partners in crime. After talking to you Dr. Ben, I see how foolish I was. The theory of using my Niklas as a magnet for fleas and letting him kill them for me using poisons in his blood stream is downright stupid. One spray of BEST YET kills them instantly and does a pretty good job of keeping them off for many days. I know because I now have a new Niklas in my life and rest assured, the local Vet will never see the likes of me or Niklas II anywhere other than the courthouse. Incidentally, I drive by his clinic everyday on the way to work. He has a flashing sign that says "Get Your Frontline Here".
CONFRONT your Vet with this information immediately. Quit using the Spot on Drops and Get some CedarCide BEST YET. As for you Dr. Ben, perhaps you need to step up and tell the World what you have known for years about these chemicals ! Silence is not noble !

Eukanuba is one of the dog foods often recommended by vets as a supposed premium brand.
It's not.
Possibly it's better than some supermarket brands, but not by much. They basically just have a smarter marketing strategy (market directly to veterinarians and get the vets to recommend and sell their products, so people perceive the products to be nutritious when that's far from the case).

MANY fabulous dog breeds are being destroyed by breeders trying to make a "TINY "dog out of something that is NOT tiny.... It is NOT just Havanese but poodles, labs, goldens and shepards to name a few. When the econcomy is so tough it is VERY hard to see people being burned by these breeders. Do your homework and learn the AKC standard for any breed BEFORE you buy...Any toy breed that is guaranteed to be under AKC guidlnes as far as weight and size is asking for trouble and huge vet bills....you are making an investment spending your hard earned money in adding a furry friend to you family, and you need to purchase from an honest breeder so please do be careful.....a runt of ANY litter should be discounted and NOT have the price increased because it is so "cute and tiny" as some put it...the runt of any litter should be purchased with caution and purchased at a very low price.
Health problems of downsized breeds include but are not limited to heart, liver, kidney, eyes, ears, and bones to name a few, and downsizing any breed can cause death by such health issues at a VERY early age.....that is IF your puppy should live.........Please go to akc.org. There you will find specs on EACH breed you are considering. It will give you size, temperament and activity levels for each and every purebred breed as well as information on if a dog needs acreage to run such as labs, or can be in an apartment dwelling such as Havanese!!!
