There is a havanese website stating a puppy under $1000 is a puppy mill dog...this is totally FALSE.  Breeders are charging a huge amount of money for these puppies and by doing so they are trying to discredit breeders like me that are home breeders, and do this for the love of breeding, and NOT for the almighty dollar, so do be careful....although this is a fantastic breed, you do NOT have to pay thousands to get a great puppy.  I have been breeding for 15 years, and have MANY happy customers, I have healthy gorgeous babies and my moms and dads are simply the best...beware of such high prices and those breeders that try to make a sale by stating false information on their websites......a REPUTABLE breeder will not have a bunch of pups available at all times...a REPUTABLE breeder will breed his/her adults selectively and will NOT mass produce.....you are welcome to visit my home to see my babies....and if you cannot visit a breeder, that is a RED FLAG,  and may very well be a puppy mill....the breeder I am referring to is in GEORGIA...so do be careful...this breeder does not even show you the parents on the site, and has 10 pups for sale that are 8 weeks old....WHY is this breeder not selling puppies.....makes you wonder doesn't it!!!!!!!    I am posting photos of two young adult males available. Foster~ Hi, and welcome to my website.  The internet can be a scary place, it was surely meant to be great, and it can be, but it can also prove to be deadly.  In this tough economy, there are many trying to make an extra buck by selling pups and many are doing it with no experience, no ethics, and no love...... Breeding is NOT just putting two dogs together, you must know their pedigrees and bloodlines. I urge you to take your time and do your homework.  When you see LOTS of puppies for sale, or you don't even see the mom and dad on a website, be aware.  This is most likely a scam.  If you cannot talk to the breeder, or if you cannot VISIT the breeder, that should  also raise a red flag. I have also seen huge pricing for commercial kennels that have a ton of dogs, please know that a kennel does NOT socialize puppies and that is huge.   If you want a great puppy, find a home breeder that you are comfortable with.  Talk on the phone and not just by email. YOU have the right to ask questions, and by all means ask for references.  A breeder should be totally open to your questions.   My deposits are refundable, but I know many are not...be aware of all the breeders policies before you commit, or you may be dealing with a fraud or much worse, a puppy mill. Be smart...when you choose your breeder. Purchasing a puppy of any breed should not be stressful, but a great time in your life....after all, this is a new family member and your new puppy should also come from a place where he or she has been treated with love and compassion and not locked up in a cage somewhere with no human contact. Feel free to call or email me about any questions you may have and remember to take your time when choosing your breeder, and your puppy should be brought into this world by someoe who charges a fair price, and gives these babies a ton of love and great health care.  I do not line breed or inbreed....EVER...I breed to only improve the bloodlines....
