We are dedicating this page to helping anyone out there that needs to find a home for their pet, for a found fur baby that has been lost, stolen, or dumped off, or for any reason, it does not matter what that reason is.

Our site gets many hits a day, and we would like to use that wonderful tool to assist in helping find homes for these animals. Any animal is fine. We do ask that you send us a clear photo with a bathed animal and any information that you may have on this little creature is greatly appreciated. Your name is not required nor will it be posted if you desire. We will keep your name confidential and the adoption can go through me. We simply want to help any of Gods creatures from being abused, neglected, or euthanized for no good reason.

We do ask that you give us the state where this animal is at to help in the placing of he or she, and to be honest with any health issues that you are aware of. We also ask that we post a price if you are charging, a contact phone number, or you may use us here at Shershihtzus to be the contact if you want this private, but you will have to let us know in advance.

We realize that it can be an uncomfortable situation if your wife or husband wants to get rid of a pet, and you don't. Maybe you want to put an animal down for one reason or another, but there are many situations that work for one, but not for another. If an animal in your opinion should be in a home with no children, please let us know that. If an animal is being placed because she or he cannot be house trained, we need to know that too. There are many loving people that will gladly take in a pet that is what I will call, "needy" in some way. Don't be shy, let us help you.

There is NO fee to do this, we just want to help.

I have had people tell me it is extremely hard to adopt from some shelters, and can be more costly than you would think. Just this week we were told that to adopt from some recues they charge around $400 and sometimes more, and it can be a long and difficult procedure. We keep the prices as low as possible and the safety, the love, and well being of these animals is my first and formost priority! Some will be free if at all possible, others will have a minimul charge depending on care and time spent here.

Don't be embarassed if you have an issue with a pet, there are always people that will take in a great pet for a small price. We do prefer that if an animal is mean or has issues in any way, that you first have that pet vet checked because it could be something as minor as an ear infection, or a bad tooth that is making fido grouchy. How do you feel when you have a toothache....it can happen.
